Throughout the year the Palace, the Chapel and eventual exhibition spaces are closed half an hour before the Quinta.

Closed 24 and 25 December and 1 January.
On 31 December the opening hours are 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM (last visit at 1:00 PM).

NOTICE: The administrative services are closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. On these days, any subject should be dealt face-to-face at ticket offices.

Guided Tours

For those who want to visit us and be contextualized, guided tours in pre-defined languages are available from Tuesday to Saturday.
You can purchase your ticket online, through TICKETLINE, thus avoiding the queues. These tours are conducted by specialized guides and last approximately 90 minutes.

Mandatory presence 15 minutes before the start of the visit.
Comfortable shoes are recommended.

  • Fundação Cultursintra FP reserves the right of admission to Quinta da Regaleira whenever the conduct and behaviour of visitors are not in line with regulations, visitor rules or show disrespect in any way towards the institution, staff or assets;
  • You must have documentation on your person that may be required at the ticket office, namely, ID, hotel reservation or address;
  • Tickets are personal and non-transferable and must be kept until the end of the visit, after which they may not be used again;
  • You must comply with the instructions/directions of staff and signage such as warnings, hazard warnings and restricted access;
  • Visitors should contribute to avoid congestion in each section and refrain from making loud noises or disturbing other visitors;
  • Visitors may not touch assets or objects displayed and may not pick plants in the garden;
  • Pay special attention while circulating in areas with obstacles, steps or tunnels;
  • Due to the rugged terrain and the physical accessibility characteristics of Quinta da Regaleira, visitors with restricted mobility and those younger than 15 years of age must always be accompanied;
  • Fires may not be lit and visitors may only smoke in authorized designated areas;
  • Visitors may not drink water from water sources as it is not potable;
  • Snacks are not permitted on the premises;
  • Visitors are to dispose of all waste in designated containers;
  • No pets are allowed on the premises with the exception of guide dogs and service animals;
  • The use of tripods and drones both indoors and outdoors and flash photography inside the Palace and the Chapel are strictly prohibited;
  • Photographic sessions, filming and activities within the Quinta require prior authorization and are subject to specific conditions and tariffs;
  • The public use of Quinta da Regaleira's image, regardless of its aim and purposes, requires prior authorization from Fundação Cultursintra FP;
  • Visitors should contact a member of staff employees whenever they need clarification or support or if they detect any irregularities;
  • Fundação Cultursintra FP reserves the right to evict, without refund, visitors who do not adhere to visitor rules or who manifest behaviour that interferes with the normal functioning of Quinta da Regaleira.

COVID-19 Security Normas

• Use of facemasks is mandatory inside and optional outside;
• Always keep 1,5 meters from other visitors;
• Hands must be hygienized before entering buildings - disinfection gel is available;
• Recommended not to touch any surface or object;

• Ticketoffice and store limited to 2 visitors at a time;
• Cash payments not accepted – use debit or credit cards;
• Guided tours carried out by the Foundation's Services or external entities limited to a maximum of 10 visitors;
• Audioguide rental is not available;

• Circulation inside the Regaleira Palace is limited to 12 visitors at a time and one way only;
• Circulation inside the Initiatic Well only in the descending direction;
• Circulation in the underground walkways is allowed between the Initiatic Well and the Eastern Grotto, one way only;
• The Unfinished Well, Waterfall Path, Regaleira Tower and Zigurat are closed.

Visitors who don’t comply with security norms will be asked to leave.
